What would you like to gain experience in? The Gallery offers a range of internships working with different departments. Read about our teams and think through what experience you would like to gain before submitting your application.

Press and PR Internship

The Communications Department offers three month internships focusing on press and PR throughout the year. Applications are received on a rolling basis.

Marketing and Digital Internship

Marketing and Digital interns have the opportunity to work closely alongside the Marketing Officer and Digital Communications Manager performing tasks vital to the operations of the department. Applications are received on a rolling basis.

Education Department Work Experience

The Education Department offers up to six internships a year, between the periods listed below:

January – April (Applications due by 1 November)
May – August (Applications due by 1 March)
September – December (Applications due by 1 July)

Interns undertake a range of tasks and are vital to the smooth running of the Department.

Work experience

Work Experience for Secondary School students

Work experience placements for secondary school students offer young people the opportunity to develop a range of skills that contribute to their future employability. Students assist in the Art Room and help teachers and artists with their workshops.
