Interior

With its pair, DPG515, this painting can be attributed to the Rotterdam school. Both works present similar images of disproportionately large utensils in a barn, with peasants in the background. Barn scenes were popular at Rotterdam, and it has been suggested that Cartwright's pair of Dutch Interiors may be by a follower of Cornelis Saftleven (1607-1681).
