Dulwich Picture Gallery is a unique location for film and television.

The Gallery site offers a wide choice of visuals, from our beautiful grounds to the gallery itself, our glass-walled cafe and the white-walled Linbury Room, which can easily be transformed into a range of scenes.

We offer hourly or day rates and since the Gallery is shut to the public on Mondays, this offers film companies all day access to the site. 


Filming and photography can only take place during our closing hours:

Monday: 8.00am – 9.00pm

Tuesday – Friday: 8.00am – 10.00am and 5.00pm – 9.00pm

Saturday and Sunday: 8.00am – 11.00am and 5.00pm – 9.00pm

Filming outside of these times may be permitted but will incur additional charges.

Press Filming

Dulwich Picture Gallery is an independent charitable trust (registered charity no. 1040942) and receives no regular government funding.  As such, we can only allow fee-free filming in the following instance:

Filming including explicit press coverage of the Gallery, its Permanent Collection, temporary exhibitions and staff, ie. documentaries about the Gallery, press coverage of temporary exhibitions, staff interviews, etc. 

For all other filming and photography requests commercial rates apply.
