1811 Club

1811 Club

The 1811 Club is a group of individuals who wish to support the curatorial, education and conservation work of Dulwich Picture Gallery in the enlightened footsteps of our founders.

1811 Club

The 1811 Club, named after the founding year of England’s first purpose built art gallery, is composed of a group of individuals who wish to support the curatorial, education and conservation work of Dulwich Picture Gallery. In return for this generosity, the Gallery offers members special privileges and access that brings you closer to the collection and involves you in Gallery initiatives.

Benefits include:

• Free admission to the Gallery and all of its temporary exhibitions
• Special tours with the curator of each temporary exhibition
• Two special “behind the scenes” visits to other collections or museums each year

All benefits will be available for a patron member plus one named partner for a suggested minimum donation of £250 - £800.

Further information

For more information regarding the 1811 Club, or if you would like to find out more information about other ways of supporting the Gallery, please contact the Development Officer on 020 8299 8725 or send an email to the Development Department via the Contact Us page.

The Gallery is a registered charity and is completely self-supporting, relying solely on the generous support of individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporations.

Make the most of your support through Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, the Gallery can claim from the government an additional 28% of a donation at no extra cost to donors.  Higher rate taxpayers can also claim additional relief via their tax return. Strictly, patrons’ membership subscriptions are not donations for tax purposes.   However we have calculated and agreed with HM Revenue and Customs that part of the subscription relates to the provision of free and discounted services and facilities and part is a voluntary donation.
