Public donations bring Old Masters back to life

Dulwich’s display called Desperately Seeking Conservation has resulted in two paintings being adopted for conservation – and more than a thousand pounds was put into the contributions box in the exhibition room.  The paintings that were adopted are Portrait of a Young Woman (Italian School), which was adopted at a cost of £8,500 and Musicians, by Mathieu Le Nain, which was £7,200. The Friends are still fundraising for St Cecilia and have raised over £12,500 so far out of the £18,000 needed to conserve this very damaged painting.
