Accessibility and Facilities

Parking

Parking is free on Gallery Road.

We have a small car park for disabled use only. It can be accessed from Gallery Road.

Step-free access

All areas of the Gallery are on one level. If you are coming as a young family have a look at our family facilities.

Wifi

Enjoy our free wifi in the Gallery.

Wheelchairs

Visitors with mobility difficulties can borrow a wheelchair. The Gallery owns two carer-assisted wheelchairs and three self-propelled wheelchairs. To book a wheelchair in advance of your visit please call 020 8299 8703 or email enquiries@dulwichpicturegallery.org.uk

Toilets

Public toilets, including a unisex accessible toilet, are located in the corner of the glass cloister next to the Linbury Room.

Seating

Folding portable stools are available in the Gallery, please ask a member of staff for assistance. Visitors are welcome to sit on the green upholstered benches in the Gallery. Wooden benches are situated throughout the gardens and in the exhibition space where possible.

Lockers

Free lockers are available in the main entrance as you enter the ticket hall. In order to preserve the collection backpacks and suitcases are not permitted in the Gallery.

Emergency evacuation

If you have particular needs in the event of emergency evacuation please inform staff at the ticket desk when you arrive.

Large Print Guides

We provide large print versions of captions for artworks in our temporary exhibitions and large print plans of the Gallery. Please ask at the ticket desk. These captions have been designed to meet RNIB guidelines for legibility.

Guide Dogs

We welcome guide, hearing and assistance dogs in all areas of the Gallery. Water bowls are available on request from the Gallery Café.

BSL

We run British Sign Language interpreted tours each month. You can find more information about this service here.

Induction Loop

An induction loop operates in the Linbury Room, Art Room, ticket desks, Friends desk and Gallery shop.

Photography

Visitors are encouraged to take photographs throughout the permanent collection and share them with the Gallery via Facebook or Twitter
