Family Visits

The Gallery welcomes families and offers a range of visitor services to make your day easy to manage.

FREE Entry

Entrance to the Permanent Collection and temporary exhibitions is free for children under 18.

Level access

There is level access to enter the Gallery via the main entrance from College Road and to exit via the shop onto Gallery Road. All areas within the Gallery are all on one level.

Cloakroom and pram park

Prams can be left at the owner’s risk along the walls in the glass cloister.

Toilets and baby change facilities

Public toilets, including a unisex accessible toilet with a baby change, are located in the corner of the glass cloister next to the Linbury Room.

Feeding and seating

Breast-feeding is allowed anywhere in the Gallery.

Folding portable stools are available, please ask a member of staff for assistance. Visitors are welcome to sit on the green upholstered benches in the Gallery. Wooden benches are situated throughout the gardens and in the exhibition space where possible.

Eating and drinking

Families are welcome to bring packed lunches. During nice weather families can picnic on the grounds. We do not have a designated lunchroom.

Café

The Café has a children’s menu and high-chairs. Bottle warming services are also available.

Shopping

The Gallery shop has a great selection of books and art activities for children.
