Oddleiv Apneseth: Photographing Jølster at the Nordic Bakery

Coinciding with the Gallery’s new exhibition, Nikolai Astrup: Painting Norway, award winning photographer Oddleiv Apneseth travelled to Astrup’s home district of Jølster in Western Norway to capture the landscape that inspired this prolific painter and printmaker. 

This small exhibition of photographs is held at the Nordic Bakery in London, a peaceful Scandinavian café in central London (see map below), known for its coffee, dark rye bread, and cinnamon buns.
