Art in the Garden

Join us for drop – in art sessions in our gardens suitable for all ages. A teaching artist will be on hand to inspire. All materials provided.

Printed Trees

In this workshop, families will look at the importance of trees in many of the Dutch Italianate paintings in the Gallery. The looming woodland forests and idyllic backdrops provide inspiration for creating a hanging structure.

Textile Creatures

In this workshop, you will explore a range of animals in the Gallery’s Permanent Collection from cows and crows to lion heads and hounds. You will create your own stuffed textile animals using socks and a variety of materials.

Mythical Monsters

Families will explore the mythical creatures in Poussan and Rubens’ paintings and create their own mythical monster costume.
