Architecture: Scale and Locale
*Date Change: Now on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November
A two part event of talks and exercises looking at the intrinsic and ongoing relationship between man and his built environment. These events will explore the changing effect on architecture, of having man, as its subject.
Ranging from the development of the Classical to the Modern Movement, these pair of talks will explore the changing effect of man's place, at the heart of the architect's concerns. From the incorporation of human form to theories for habitation, these talks will show how throughout history man has been intrinsically present within all facets of the buildings he inhabits.
The talks will look at shifts from Vitruvius, to Yona Friedman and Le Corbusier, as well as human scale from Jonathan Swift to Alice in Wonderland.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November, with curator & artist Gabor Gyory
