InTown Lecture: Goya: The Portraits at the National Gallery

This lecture re-appraises Goya’s genius as a portraitist,from his early beginnings to his final years in France. His approach to painting human likenesses developed throughout his career, offering unconventional portraits and often breaking traditional boundaries.

The exhibition at the National Gallery is curated by Dr Xavier Bray, Chief Curator at Dulwich Picture Gallery, and runs from 7 October 2015 – 10 January 2016
