Part of our Tuesday Evening Lecture Series.
This talk explores some of the ways in which art has portrayed gardens through history, from ancient frescoes to modern installation art, and from precise images of seventeenth century parterres to rich sweeps of colour conjuring delicious herbaceous borders. With paintings, sculptures, textiles and more, this will be a mixed bouquet of garden images.
