Prud’hon : The Moving Body

All drawing equipment and paper is provided.

Join us for two unforgettable evenings of performance, life-drawing and art inspired by the work of Pierre-Paul Prud'hon. Specially choreographed 'dance sculptures' will slowly come to life during the evening set to live musical accompaniment. Enjoy as an observer or record the spectacle through life-drawing with help from our experienced tutor. This beautiful scene will evolve, culminating in a performance of the critically acclaimed 'O'Dabo' and 'Finding Freedom' a moving solo and duet choreographed by Rambert's Dane Hurst, winner of the Critics Circle National Dance Award for Best Male Dancer of the Year. The duet recently premiered with Rambert at the Wilderness Festival and features Romany Pajdak from the Royal Ballet. As a choreographer Dane has received commissions from Rambert, Place Prize, Barbican, Wilton's Music Hall and will be joined by a team of creatives including photographer/composer Tom Rowland, fashion designer Micol Ragni, soprano Sarah Gabriel, violinist Satoko Fukuda and composer Paul Gladstone Reid.

Listen to Breaking Through by Tom Rowland, the soundtrack to Finding Freedom which will be performed by Dane Hurst and Romany Pajdak.
