There are many kinds of volunteering roles at the Gallery where you can get involved; Volunteering at is a rewarding, enjoyable and sociable experience.

Schools Studio Volunteer

We are looking for creative workshop volunteers to support our schools programme, which includes weekly art workshops for children and students aged 5-18. You will support school workshops by creating a comfortable environment for learning, engaging students with creative activities, and assisting the workshop leader by preparing and clearing up materials in the learning space.

Exhibition Volunteer

We are looking for exhibitions volunteers to support our temporary exhibitions programme through assisting with research, reporting, and other project-based tasks in the exhibitions department, helping us to get the most from our exhibitions.

Event Volunteer

We are looking for events volunteers to support our busy public programme. This includes lectures, talks, Lates, workshops and performances. If you are interested in working in a creative environment, as part of a learning team, and with visitors of a variety of ages, this role is for you!

Gardener

We are looking for green-fingered helpers to assist with keeping the gardens around the Gallery in great condition.We are setting up a team of volunteers to help to improve presentation standards in this beautiful space. You could be involved in planting, pruning, establishing boundaries, and sharing your love for horticulture with our visitors. If you are interested in learning new skills, or working in a bigger garden than before, then this hands-on role is for you!

Volunteer Role Description: Family and Youth Programme

We are looking for creative workshop volunteers to support Dulwich Picture Gallery’s youth and family programmes. The family programme includes weekly drop-in family workshops, half term courses and full day family festivals, whilst the youth programme provides regular open access and targeted creative workshops and projects and skills based volunteer programmes.
