Browse 40 handpicked vintage traders across the Gallery's Gallery and Garden, with live jazz, street food, and free entry to make a perfect summer Sunday of it.
On Sunday 7 June, the Gallery comes alive with a carefully curated market of 40 exceptional vintage traders, set across the site with the So Last Century Vintage Market.
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just browsing, you’ll find an inspiring mix of mid-century homeware, ceramics, glass, lighting, furniture, original 1950s and 60s art, prints, antique maps, French brocante, vintage fashion, jewellery and more.
Make a day of it.
There’ll also be flowers and plants by Yolly, mouth-watering street crêpes and galettes by Sarrasin and delicious bao buns, noodles and rice bowls by YouBao. Enjoy a cold draught beer or glass of wine from CAMRA award-winning New Cross pub The Shirker’s Rest who will have a stall in the gardens. The excellent Flotsam & Jetsam cafe and Canteen will be both be open too, serving food and drinks.
Out on the lawns, soak up the atmosphere with live New Orleans jazz from the brilliantly named Alvar Treefrogs, a perfect soundtrack to a summer afternoon.
While you’re here, take time to explore the Gallery. Discover the vivid, emotionally charged paintings in the Konrad Mägi exhibition, encounter Kristina Õllek’s striking contemporary installation, or revisit the permanent collection, ArtPlay Pavilion and Sculpture Garden.
