Probably painted c.1740-50. Britton 1813 has 'Head of Mr King [and] Mrs Ds father', i.e. two in one frame. It is perhaps conceivable that this painting was one of these, although that does not explain why it was first recorded in the College in 1890 (i.e. not a Bourgeois picture).
