The Rev. William Rogers (1819-96): Governor of Dulwich College from 1857; Chairman of the Governors, 1862-95; known because of his advocacy of secular education as 'Hang theology Rogers' . DPG442 was presented to the sitter by his friends in 1894 and exhibited at the RA in the following year.
