Patrons

Get closer to Dulwich Picture Gallery by joining the Desenfans Circle.

Become a Patron and enjoy exclusive access to our collections, curators and the Gallery’s dynamic exhibition programme. Support from our Patrons makes a vital contribution to our key Gallery projects and provides much-needed revenue towards our core costs.

Why support us?

We want to inspire people of all ages and help them create meaning and extract value from art.

We are committed to creating fresh, inventive ways of looking at our word-class collection of Old Masters and providing new perspectives on both admired and lesser-known artists through internationally acclaimed exhibitions.

The gallery costs £4.9M* per year to open, operate, offer its artistic and community programmes and care for its collection. The Gallery’s income from ticket sales provide 22% of these costs and 48% must be raised from fundraising. Philanthropy is vital to our survival.

*Financial year: April 2016 - March 2017

Ways in which becoming a Patron helps the Gallery –

£1000 will purchase needed specialist conservation materials for our permanent collection

£2000 will allow us to run our Artmobile, connecting less mobile communities with the Gallery’s work

£3,600 pays for a conservator to condition check artworks as they arrive for an exhibition

£5000 will pay for a teacher-artist to deliver daily workshops to Southwark schools for three months

£10,000 pays for vital conservation work on a picture in our permanent collection

£100,000 keeps the Gallery secure for a year
