Funerals, memorials & wakes

Funerals & memorials

We have partnered with Poetic Endings, an independent and ethical funeral service based in Forest Hill, to host funeral and memorial services at Dulwich Picture Gallery.

The Gallery provides a peaceful space to honour and remember loved ones in a setting that is both beautiful and reflective.

We can accommodate intimate groups of 20 guests, up to larger groups of 200 people. Funerals & memorials are available on Mondays only, whilst the Gallery is closed to the public.

Wakes

Our peaceful grounds and elegant spaces provide a comforting environment for gathering with family and friends.

Wakes can be hosted within the Gallery, Linbury Room or Gallery Café.

Our experienced events team will support you every step of the way with care and sensitivity. We can assist with arranging furniture, AV requirements, catering, and floral displays, ensuring that every detail is thoughtfully managed.

Our galleries offer an unforgettable setting for private and corporate events. Designed by Sir John Soane in 1811, this iconic space is the world’s first purpose-built public art gallery and houses a prestigious collection of historic paintings.
