This welcoming talk offers the perfect starting point for your visit, providing insight into Mägi’s life, travels and artistic vision.
A pioneer of Estonian modernism, yet still little known in the UK, Mägi was an artist of remarkable intensity and imagination. This exhibition brings together more than 60 of his works in the first major UK exhibition of his work. From radiant, expressive landscapes to psychologically charged portraits, his paintings pulse with colour, energy and experimentation, revealing a short but extraordinarily inventive career shaped by both adventure and personal struggle.
Optional exhibition entry ticket included at 11:30am or 1:30pm.
