Experiment with hole-punched paper to build your own imaginative landscapes, exploring composition, layering and style as you go.
Explore colour, texture and composition in this hands-on paper collage workshop with artist Sophie Rawlingson. Inspired by the vibrant landscapes of Konrad Mägi and the techniques of pointillism, you’ll create your own artwork to take home using a wide range of colourful papers.
Working with hole-punched paper, you’ll experiment with layering and pattern to build expressive landscapes that echo Mägi’s bold use of colour and form. We’ll look closely at details from his paintings, considering how he balances intricacy and abstraction and you can decide how detailed (or pared back) your own piece will be.
This beginner-friendly workshop is open to teens and adults, and you’re encouraged to work at your own pace, making something as simple or as complex as you wish.
Sophie Rawlingson is an artist and experienced workshop facilitator based in Hampshire.
