Konrad Mägi

24 Mar — 12 Jul 2026

In spring 2026, we will present a major UK debut of the Estonian artist Konrad Mägi (1878–1925).

A pioneer of modern painting, this show offers UK audiences the opportunity to encounter Mägi’s dazzling, spiritually charged paintings for the first time.

The exhibition will bring together a survey of his enigmatic landscapes and captivating portraits that highlight his intensive, productive and varied career as an artist that lasted just 20 years.

Shown alongside Mägi's works will be a specially commissioned sculptural work by Estonian artist Kristina Õllek. Created in response to Mägi’s paintings, while on a residency in the Saaremaa islands, the new commission will take inspiration from his works.
