Book Now

Join Dr Julian Flannery, Architecture Lead for the Restoration and Renewal Programme, House of Commons, to discuss the future of the Palace of Westminster.

At the start of 2018 the two Houses of Parliament resolved to undertake a major programme of restoration and renewal of one of the great buildings of the world, the Palace of Westminster. This lecture considers how the fabric of the nineteenth-century Palace has adapted to changes in society and technology over the past 150 years and how it can be renewed to serve a thriving Parliamentary Democracy in the 21st century and beyond.

This lecture is part of the 2018 Contextual Lecture Series: Tomorrow's World - Intimations of the Future.
