Book now

Hear from Olivia Mills of Art on the Underground, and Giles Round, artist and creator of permanent artworks across the Victoria line, for a discussion about the evolving connection between the London Underground and contemporary art. Chaired by Tasha Marks of AVM curiosities, the discussion will touch on the Grosvenor School artists' iconic posters, and Art on the Underground’s plans for the future.

Art on the Underground invites artists to create projects for London’s Underground that are experienced by millions of people each day, changing the way people experience their city. Incorporating installation, sculpture, digital and performance, to prints and custom Tube map covers, the programme produces critically acclaimed projects that are accessible to all, and which draw together the city’s diverse communities. Art on the Underground is funded by Transport for London.

Giles Round is an artist living and working in London. As strategy for production, Round often works through long-term projects, rooted in research, that engage a variety of materials, processes and collaborators. These include The Grantchester Pottery (2011-) and an artist-run decorative arts studio; Design Work Leisure (2015-19).
