Women of Surrealism: Leonora Carrington

Discover the fascinating life and work of artist Leonora Carrington; a prominent surrealist whose works in the exhibition include The Old Maids and Femme Cheval. Carrington lived a colourful life; she was in a relationship with the German artist Max Ernst, emigrated to Paris and eventually Mexico City, where she lived until her death in 2011. Katy Hessel, host of The Great Women Artists podcast, discusses Carrington’s work with the artist’s cousin, journalist Joanna Moorhead.

Joanna Moorhead's book, The Surreal Life of Leonora Carrington, will be available to purchase from the Gallery Shop.
