Welcome in the Spring season and learn a new creative skill.

Join artist and printmaker, Alex Booker, to welcome in the Spring season by spending a day learning and creating prints through the use of traditional tools, inks and techniques.

Make your own bespoke woodblock prints to create Easter cards, Spring decorations, wrapping paper or prints.

Draw and cut your own woodblock using Japanese Shina plywood and traditional tools and explore the process of hand-printing on different paper types. Learn how to use multiple blocks to build colour and design, as well as reduction-cutting techniques to create more complex prints.

Suitable for beginners. All equipment and materials will be provided. Alex recommends bringing inspiration for your prints to help create your designs. He often draws inspiration from postcards, photos and drawings for his own work.
