Strawberry -Hill -House

Horace Walpole rebuilt the existing Strawberry Hill (starting in 1749) to house his vast collection of fascinating treasures. Walpole called his castle a ‘plaything house’, and intended a tour of Strawberry Hill to be a magical and theatrical experience. It is certainly all of that. Tea, coffee and biscuits included.

Meet: front entrance to the House, 268 Waldegrave Rd, Twickenham TW1 4ST at 10.15am.

Four trains per hour run in both directions from London Waterloo.

The house is a 5-10 minute walk from Strawberry Hill station - follow the sign at the end of each platform.

A lift provides access to the first floor. There are six rooms inaccessible to wheelchair users.
