Embroidery workshop

13 Dec 2025

12 — 2pm

Join multi-media artist Coco Warner-Allen for an inspiring embroidery and beadwork workshop inspired by the exhibition Anna Ancher: Painting Light.

Designed for teens and adults, this hands-on session introduces a range of stitches and beadwork techniques using an embroidery hoop. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to expand your skills, you’ll explore new ways to work with colour, texture and light — echoing the spirit of Ancher’s art.

Coco Warner-Allen

Coco Warner-Allen is a multi-media artist based in London, whose practice combines fine art with craft.

Her work explores feminist ideas such as The Male Gaze, the performativity of the feminine and how beauty and femininity are constructed through both contemporary visual culture and throughout the history of art.

Textile is a primary medium in her practice, and she sees her classes as an extension of her desire for her work to encourage greater community connection. She has led embroidery workshops around London in a variety of spaces such as bars, university classrooms, workshop spaces, and art galleries.
