Throughout the day, James will share behind-the-scenes approaches to his practice, helping you unlock new ways of seeing and painting the human form.
Materials
All materials will be provided for your convenience. However, you’re very welcome to bring your own paints and brushes.
If you plan to work in oils, we kindly ask that only non-solvent-based mediums are used. Watercolour practitioners are equally encouraged, with guidance available throughout.
James Hague
James Hague is a London based artist who studied Fine Art at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle and the Royal College of Art. In 1996, he won the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London. He was the recipient of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters RP Award (2019) and the Ondaatje Prize for Portraiture (2018) and is a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and Contemporary British Portrait Painters.
