The Goldsmiths’ Company is one the 12 great livery companies of the City of London, and received its Charter in 1327. Since 1300, it has been responsible for testing the quality of gold and silver, and the word hallmark originates from the 15th century when craftsmen were required to bring their artefacts to the hall for assaying and marking. Goldsmiths’ Hall is a Grade I listed building that has stood at this location since 1339. There is a huge collection of antique and modern silver, modern jewellery and art medals, and the building is simply spectacular.

Meet at the entrance to the Hall in Foster Lane, London EC2V 6BN

Wheelchair Access: A dedicated access for wheelchair users is situated on the south side of the building.
