Join us for our Summer Late celebrating Yoshida: Three Generations of Japanese Printmaking with creative workshops, a pop-up bar and much more.
Experience the Gallery after hours and explore the evolution of Japanese printmaking across two centuries. There will be a focus on humankinds' relationship with nature, ancestral voices and myth.
Sashiko Workshop
Gallery 2, 6-10pm
A relaxed evening of Sashiko stitching inspired by the exhibition.
Hosted by Mika Sembongi of the Monday Mending Club, participants will explore various Sashiko patterns, spanning from AI-generated William Morris designs to the traditional Uroko and Shippō stitches.
Lino Printmaking workshop with Jade They
Art Studio, 6-10pm
Discover how to create your own Japanese style name stamp in this workshop inspired by the style of red Japanese print signatures.

Paint and Print

Enjoy combining printing and painting techniques in this creative workshop, with a focus on floral elements inspired by works from the Yoshida: Three Generations of Japanese Printmaking exhibition. Participants will create paint prints to take home.
Club Origami
Gallery 4, 6-10pm
Reimagine the traditional idea of origami, by folding, twisting and bending paper to make large and small paper sculptures in this playful workshop. Suitable for all abilities.
Gimlet Bar
Gallery 5, 6 -10pm
Enjoy a variety of cocktails created by master mixologists at the Gimlet Bar.
