10 years of Good Times at Dulwich Picture Gallery

We recently held a celebration at the Gallery marking 10 years of the Gallery’s Good Times programme for older people. Over 100 participants attended with family members, carers and support staff. Over the years the Gallery’s Education Department has worked with over 170 community organisations from all over London and were joined on the day by groups from the U3A, Age UK, Lively Minds, Pear Tree Care Centre and Edward Alleyn Almshouse among many others.

Guests enjoyed mulled wine and live music from the Swing Ninjas which prompted plenty of dancing from guests and the community engagement team. There was even an impromptu singing performance from one of our participants, Arthur Nightingale. Arthur, an actor and professional jazz singer, performed Summertime from Porgy and Bess with a voice and unique style that charmed the crowd.

A fantastic way to celebrate and share some of the good times we have had over the years.
