Monoprinting workshop
Inspired by the work of Berthe Morisot, this workshop will explore the atmosphere created by a founding member of Impressionism through the language of Monoprint. Led by Augusta Akerman you will discover four ways to work with mono-printing, learning skills that can be easily replicated at home.
The most painterly of the printmaking techniques, monoprint celebrates the experimental, allowing you to play with brushstrokes and mark-making to create texture and tone.
You will explore 4 mono-printing methods during the session:
- Painting directly onto plate.
- Removing Ink from plate.
- Stencilling / masking.
- Drawing onto paper placed on top of plate.
