Explore Rubens, think radically and work from a life model to create your own multi figure compositions.
One of Rubens’s major strengths is his method of composing multiple dynamic figures into explosive baroque compositions. This session will work with a life model for the first half of the session, where the model will create extremely dynamic poses based on figures from Rubens paintings.
In the second half of the session you will create your own multi figure Rubenesque composition. Explore ways of mapping life drawings and composing them into a large-scale Rubenesque composition, exploring how to map multiple figures into a complex composition.
