Art Club! Printmaking
Come along to Art Club! where artist Joanna Veevers will explore colour and printmaking techniques. You’ll learn more about layering colour, line, different materials and experiment with combining techniques in new and exciting ways to create abstract works on paper.
Explore abstract art through a combination of block printing from wood, polystyrene, card, and mark making over the top with monoprint drawing. You will use a range of papers, printing inks and the etching press during the process.
Art Club! invites children aged 5-9 to explore different ways you can create art, encouraging them to make art together, creating playfulness, and stimulating curiosity and cooperation with other children of similar ages.
Each artist who works with the Art Club! brings materials and ideas that reflects their own studio practice, getting new inspiration from the Gallery’s key exhibitions. Art Club! gives children an insight into what it means to be an artist today.
This activity is aimed at 5–9 year-olds.
