Family Wild Life Drawing: Farmyard Animals
Join us for a wonderful event drawing real farm animals from Spitalfields City Farm! Meet miniature donkeys, guinea pigs, goats and chickens in our Sculpture Garden.
Have you ever seen a miniature donkey? Two adorable miniature donkeys named Gilbert and Sullivan will be visiting the Gallery over the summer holidays from their home at Spitalfields City Farm, along with many of their farmyard pals. We'll be meeting and drawing some of the glorious goat herd, the rescued guinea pigs (with a variety of fabulous hairdos) and some of the rehomed chickens from the farm.
The class will start with an introduction from Jenny the farm manager, where we'll hear all about the breeds and their big personalities. All these animals, large and small, are friendly and charismatic and you're going to love them.
The class is open to everyone, all abilities are welcome and all artistic styles are celebrated! Children aged 5 and above are more than welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult also taking part in the class. We will provide everything you need to get sketching – drawing boards, paper and a wide range of materials- but feel free to bring along your own kit if you’d like.
